OLONGAPO CITY — In a historic milestone for local governance, the City Government of Olongapo, in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Olongapo City, conferred the inaugural Barangay Excellence in Service and Transformation (B.E.S.T.) of Olongapo Seal to nine outstanding barangays on Tuesday, November 18.
Olongapo City formally inaugurated its FY 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) Project, “Installation of CCTV in Public Places,” through a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and marker unveiling held on November 18, 2025, at Olongapo City Beach, Barangay Barretto.
To strengthen the capacity of LGUs in administrative investigation, evidence handling, and due process compliance to further enhance accountability and responsiveness in local governance, the DILG Region III successfully conducted a three-day training program titled “Improving Local Government Capacity on Handling Citizens' Complaints and Grievances” on November 19–21, 2025, at Royce Hotel and Casino, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.
