The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Central Luzon conducted a ceremonial turnover of leadership from outgoing Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda to incoming Regional Director Araceli A. San Jose — a true passing of the torch from one Tatag Ng Agila to another.
Held on July 1, 2025, at the DILG Regional Office III, the event was graced by esteemed guests including the Provincial and City Directors of Central Luzon. Also in attendance were regional and local officers from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), who visited to express their support and solidarity with both the outgoing and incoming regional directors.
As the event unfolded, officials from Region III delivered heartfelt messages to RD Nuyda, honoring his steadfast leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to good governance. His time in service left a legacy marked by integrity, discipline, and excellence. "Wherever we are assigned, the mission continues," remarked Undersecretary for Local Government Marlo L. Iringan, in recognition of the lasting impact of the leaders who serve under the banner of DILG.
More than a formal transition, the ceremony was a celebration of service and a renewal of purpose. Dir. Araceli A. San Jose was warmly welcomed with full confidence in her capability, experience, and passion for public service. Her leadership is seen as a continuation of excellence, ready to elevate Region III to greater heights.
The symbolic passing of the key during the ceremony reflected more than a change in leadership. It represented trust, responsibility, and the legacy of dedicated service. As the incoming Regional Director accepted the key, she embraced the call to lead with integrity, purpose, and a deep sense of commitment to the people.
As one chapter ends and another begins, DILG Region III soars forward fearless, united, and unwavering in its pursuit of good governance. From one Tatag Ng Agila to another, the legacy ofleadership continues — bold, committed, and ever ready to serve. Like the eagle that rides the wind with courage, this turnover marks not just a transition, but a bold takeoff toward even greater public service.
