The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zambales headed by Provincial Director Armi V. Bactad, facilitated a 3-day Orientation-Workshop on the formulation of Capacity Development Agenda (CapDev) for the Local Government Unit (LGU) Capacity Development Committees from the 13 municipalities and provincial government of Zambales on October 6-8, 2021 via Zoom meetings platform— in anticipation for the implementation of the full devolution next year.
In 2018, the Department, through its Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 2018-172: Assessment of Comprehensive Development Plans (CDPs) for Component Cities and Municipalities, institutionalized the nationwide assessment of CDPs by the Province using the prescribed CDP Assessment Tool/Checklist. As part of the enhancements made in the existing CDP Assessment Tool/Checklist to integrate Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation (DRR-CCA) indicators/review parameters, the Department has issued an updated guidelines on the assessment of CDPs of cities and municipalities through DILG MC No. 2021-037.

Ang Kagawaran ng Interyor at Pamahalaang Lokal (DILG) ng Lalawigan ng Zambales sa pamumuno ng Direktor Armi V. Bactad, sa pakikipag-ugnayan at pakikipag-tulungan sa Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Botolan, sa pamamagitan ng Task Force End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) nito — ay matagumpay na nagsagawa ng aktibidad nitong ika-30 ng Setyembre taong kasalukuyan na pinamagatang 'Capacitating Barangay Based Institutions cum Strengthening Community Security Mechanisms and Structures and Information Drive for Peace, Security and Development,' na naglalayong mapaigting ang kasanayan at kakayahan ng mga pamahalaang barangay sa paglaban at pagsugpo sa komunismo at terorismo at sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at kaayusan sa kanilang mga sa komunidad.
Ang Kagawaran ng Interyor at Pamahalaang Lokal (DILG) ng San Narciso— katuwang ang tanggapan ng Punong Bayan ng San Narciso — ay nag-sagawa ng isang gawaing naglalayong makapagbigay ng tulong teknikal sa Devolution Transition Committee (DTC) noong ika-29 ng Setyembre taong 2021 sa pamamagitan ng Zoom Cloud Meetings application.
