CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Office III is pleased to announce the successful procurement of one (1) unit of a brand-new passenger van, aimed at strengthening its administrative capabilities and supporting its field operations across the region.
The newly acquired vehicle was officially turned over to the Regional Office on May 5, 2025, following the completion of a transparent and competitive procurement process in accordance with Republic Act No. 9184 or the Government Procurement Reform Act. The procurement was funded through the RA 12116 FY 2025 General Appropriations Act with an approved budget of Two Million One Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php 2,100,000.00).
The new service vehicle is a Toyota Hiace Commuter Deluxe, known for its reliability, comfort, and large seating capacity-making it ideal for transporting staff and equipment during regional operations. It is expected to be used in supporting the DILG's regular field activities, including conduct of monitoring and evaluation visits, technical assistance to local government units (LGUs), training and capacity development programs, and regional coordination meetings.
DILG Region III Regional Director, Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda CESO III, expressed his gratitude for the successful completion of the procurement and highlighted the importance of the new vehicle in fulfilling the agency's mandates. It was also emphasized that the procurement process was conducted with utmost transparency and accountability, in line with the principles of good governance. The Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) ensured that all steps adhered to proper procedures and were documented through PhilGEPS and internal auditing mechanisms.
