Subic Bay Freeport Zone— The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region III, in partnership with the Philippine Information Agency Region III, successfully conducted a two-day Crisis Management Training for Local Government Units (LGUs) at the Seorabeol Grand Leisure Hotel, gathering participants from across Central Luzon.
The training covered core crisis management concepts, including legal and policy frameworks, the 5Ps of Inter-Agency Contingency Planning, crisis leadership and accountability, and the evolving roles of public sector institutions during emergencies. Participants also tackled real-life cases, common issues, and emerging challenges in crisis response.
In her inspirational message, DILG Regional Director Araceli A. San Jose, CESO III, emphasized the crucial role of LGUs in promoting collaborative, compassionate, and responsive crisis leadership to build a safer and more resilient Central Luzon.
As an output of the activity, participants crafted scenario-based action plans and developed their own crisis communication plans, reinforcing their readiness to implement timely and coordinated interventions.
