In a bid to strengthen transparency and accountability in local development, the Provincial Project Monitoring Teams (PPMT), with support from engineers of the Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), conducted thorough site inspections of projects funded under the FY 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) and the FY 2024 Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (FALGU) programs.
The inspections covered projects across Floridablanca, Bacolor, Minalin, Mabalacat City, and the City of San Fernando.
In Floridablanca, the PPMT assessed the ongoing Installation of Solar-Powered Water Pump with Protective Enclosure at Palakol, Barangay San Jose. The project, funded under the FY 2024 SGLGIF, aims to provide a sustainable water supply for the comfort room facility at Palakol, benefiting tourists and enhancing local facilities while promoting environmental sustainability.
The team also conducted the final site inspection of the Concreting of Barangay Road in Barangay San Antonio, Bacolor funded under the FY 2024 SGLGIF. Said project is expected to improve mobility, ensure access to essential services, and support the daily movement of residents.
Meanwhile, in Mabalacat City, the PPMT validated the ongoing construction of the Mabalacat City Youth Center in Barangay Sapang Biabas, funded through the FY 2024 SGLGIF. The facility will serve as a centralized hub for youth empowerment, offering skills training, educational workshops, and civic engagement activities.
An inspection was conducted in Minalin, to validate the Rehabilitation of the Multi-Purpose Building in Barangay Sta. Rita, funded under the FY 2024 FALGU. Once completed, the structure will function as a resilient community facility for public services, gatherings, and emergency response operations.
Finally, in the City of San Fernando, the PPMT had a final validation of the Procurement of Hardware and Software for the Youth Learning Facility, funded under the FY 2024 SGLGIF. The facility aims to empower city youth with skills, career guidance, ICT access, and knowledge of government programs
