As part of the continuing efforts of DILG Pampanga under its Ing Kulitan sub-component, SAUP Program, a dialogue session was held with the local functionaries of the Municipality of Masantol to discuss and assess the LGU’s current status of compliance with the Department’s PPAs.
Discussions focused on the Local Government Unit Compliance Assessment (LGUCA) pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular Nos. 2018-207 and 2020-143, particularly on Liquid Waste Management, Solid Waste Management and the Management of Informal Settler Families.
The initiative also highlighted key DILG programs such as the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives and Awards, BEST for Barangay, and LGU Profiling, which promote transparency, accountability, and evidence-based planning. The status of the locally-funded projects in the municipality was also discussed and the respective systems in place that they need to update and comply.
This intervention aims to improve the LGU’s overall operational performance and prepare them in the upcoming audits and assessments.
